Covert Protection (CovPro) is an advanced executive protection course designed for practitioners who need to provide discreet, low-profile security for ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients — especially those who are not public figures but still face elevated risks.
Unlike traditional executive protection, CovPro does not focus on hiding your presence, but rather on concealing your purpose. The primary challenge is to maintain a protective posture without revealing your role, operating seamlessly in public or private environments while continuously mitigating threats.
This training prepares participants to support principals in scenarios where overt security would be inappropriate, unwelcome, or counterproductive — such as:
- Accompanying executive spouses or children in public
- Vacation and leisure travel
- Private events and social functions
- Family logistics and transportation
- Providing silent backup to overt EP teams
CovPro requires a deep understanding of human behavior, surveillance, positioning for protective response, and operational blending. It often demands greater finesse, planning, and adaptability than traditional EP, especially when operating alone or in small teams without visible support.
CovPro teams typically function in parallel to corporate security or EP units, maintaining separate, sanitized workspaces to protect cover and reduce association. In both private sector and NGO contexts, CovPro professionals serve as the quiet layer of protection—visible to none, critical to all.
