Greg Nelson

Mr. Nelson is a privacy, protection, and preparedness advocate, with over twenty-five years of security industry experience building value-added security strategies for businesses, organizations, communities, and individuals. His expertise draws on a deep and diverse background which includes professional and volunteer experiences in the public and private safety sectors, as well as years of corporate security work with various Fortune 500 companies.

​Greg was an original member of Microsoft’s Executive Security Team, participating in the protection of company leaders until leaving to manage and operate a company providing specialized protective medical training. Upon returning to the Seattle area, he held the position of Security Director at Marchex, a mobile marketing solutions company. His career has included teaching tactical skill sets, as well as strategic topics, such as disaster planning and business continuity that add expertise to our team of security instructors.

​Greg has participated in various associations and professional organizations, including the International Association of Chiefs of Police, ASIS International, the International Tactical EMS Association, and the International Bodyguard Association. He has obtained several professional, business, and industry credentials, including certifications from Cambridge, PMI, CUPIM, NRA, PHTLS, NREMT, DRJ, and FEMA.
