Senior Instructor – Tactical Medicine / Massachusetts State Trooper (Ret)/ US Marine Corps Veteran
Mark Robbins is a seasoned Tactical Medicine Instructor with a remarkable career spanning over 30 years. His journey began with service to his country in the US Marine Corps, where he specialized as an instructor in small arms and crew-served weapons for all US Marine Corps helicopters. After 12 years, he departed as a Staff Sergeant.
Following his military service, Mark transitioned to becoming a Massachusetts State Trooper, specializing in Firearms Instruction and Tactical Operations. He became a member of the State Police Tactical Medical Team and the Academy Health and Fitness Unit, serving for over 15 years before officially retiring from the department in 2015. Despite his retirement, Mark continues to serve his state as a sworn Massachusetts Constable and a Contract-Security Professional, providing on-site security for various high-net-worth clients on short-term contracts. He is a Certified Protection Specialist and a Massachusetts and National Registered EMT-Tactical. Through his private training company, Mark continues to provide Firearms and Tactical Medical Training. His commitment to excellence and passion for sharing his knowledge in protective medicine empowers others to serve and protect with distinction.
In 2011, Mark graduated from Executive Security International (ESI) and quickly became a Firearms Instructor with our team. He then transitioned into his true calling as a Tactical Medicine Instructor. As the Senior Medical Training Instructor/Coordinator and Course Developer at ESI, Mark co-authored and implemented the 56+ hour Executive Protection Medical Specialist course for our Executive Protection Professionals. He is joined by a cadre of highly qualified and seasoned instructors, all of whom have contributed to designing the comprehensive and interactive program.
Mark’s expertise in tactical medicine is unparalleled, shaped by real-world scenarios and extensive continuous training. His practical knowledge ranges from high-stress security details for Fortune 500 CEOs to safeguarding some of the nation’s most influential figures, including presidential campaigns and high-value state government clients. In his instructional approach, he blends military precision with the latest advancements in medical techniques, ensuring his students are prepared for any challenge they may face in the field.
Beyond his tactical acumen, Mark is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of tactical medics, instilling in them the same passion and proficiency that has defined his career.
